Sudhir Deshapande holds a degree in Pharmacy and Law. After outstanding service of 33 years in FDA, Maharashtra in various capacities, retired in 2006 as the Joint Commissioner. After his retirement, he has set up PHARMALEX offering complete legal solutions in drug legislations. He is legal advisor to all major Pharmaceutical Industry and Trade Associations [Indian Drugs Manufacturers’ Association, Ayurvedic Drugs Manufacturers’ Association, All India Organization of Chemists and Druggists, Maharashtra State Chemists and Druggists Association]. He is advisor to many leading pharmaceutical companies.
He is on the board of Maharashtra Safe Chemists and Distributors’ Alliance Limited as an independent director.
He is Founder Secretary General of the All India Drugs Control Officers’ Confederation and has played vital role strengthening the Organization. He has also authored commentary on Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 and Drugs and Magic Remedies (Objectionable Advertisements) Act, 1954. His contribution to the regulatory agency and pharmacy profession has been recognized by way of many awards and election to the prestigious post of President, Indian Pharmaceutical congress Association and presided over 61st Indian Pharmaceutical congress held at Ahmedabad in December 2009.
He is a gifted teacher, communicator and a trainer, a fact recognized by national and international organizations by inviting him as faculty for seminars and workshops. He loves teaching and regularly shares his thoughts with the students of pharmacy, the Drugs Control Officers, the Professionals in Industry, Community Pharmacy and Consumer Organization.
Manoj Lekhrajani is CEO of Pharmapoint (India) Pvt. Ltd. with a vision of offering a one-stop-solution in Healthcare products & services, from the manufacturer / service-provider to end consumer.
In 1983 after finishing his Bachelor of Pharmacy, Manoj started his career as a medical representative and rose to become Sales-Promotion Manager with in a short span of three years. He worked in major metro’s & also in the interiors of the country interacting with doctors, chemists, hospital-incharges, wholesalers, superstockists and other healthcare personal . Giving him insights to both the urban & rural markets.
In 1986 he choose to setup a retail pharmacy inside a hospital, this gave him first hand knowledge of the critical care requirements of healthcare industry.
In 1990 he choose to utilize this knowledge of the Critical Care by setting up a distribution company. His company was the first in Mumbai to offer delivery of critical care medicines in temperature control packaging within one hour anywhere in the city & next day delivery outside Mumbai.
With a objective of giving back to society, Manoj started organizing free workshops & seminars , where in all the stake holder of the healthcare industry like regulatory , doctors , sales & marketing professionals, hospital-incharges, nurses, trade, etc. would participate.
In 2004 he started a retail pharmacy ‘Nisama Chemist & Druggist’. Here for the first time in India a pharmacist goes to the patients house , checks his prescription, gives him medicines and also advises how it is to be taken.
Photography is Manoj’s passion & his photographs have been published in newspapers. Besides this he makes it a point to give time to with various NGO’s.
Anit Lekhrajani is the managing partner of IMS, a specialty distribution company dealing in life saving medicines with special emphasis on cold chain products. The company was the first Indian Pharma Distributor to be ISO 9001:2008 certified for systems and processes in pharma distribution and follows the WHO guidelines of GDP(good distribution practices) and GSP(good storage practices).
In 1998 after finishing his Bachelor of Pharmacy, Anit started his career as a medical representative to understand the working of pharma in the Indian senerio.He also worked in a hospital pharmacy , thereby getting a complete idea of the pharma selling market.
In 1992 he joined his brother to manage IMS, a company was the first in Mumbai to offer delivery of critical care medicines in temperature control packaging within one hour anywhere in the city & next day delivery outside Mumbai.
He was instrumental in establishing IMS , as one of the premium pharma distribution company of the city with a focus on customer care & service.
He also played a major part in getting IMS to be the first ISO 9001:2008 company and as per BEE guidelines.
He is a university ranker and a gold & silver medalist.
Anit is an adventure sport person and is currently perusing scuba diving, he has been certified as an advanced scuba diver.
